My son just can’t get enough of dinosaurs, so of course I threw him a big dinosaur party for his birthday.

Of the many many parties I’ve put together, this dinosaur party is one of my all-time favorites!

Another one of my favorites is my toddler daughter’s sweet bee themed party.

The Ultimate Dinosaur Party

Dinosaur Party Tables

I set up three big tables for theparty-

  • Main party table with all the food
  • Dining table, complete with a dinosaur place setting for each child
  • Dinosaur dig table

Dinosaur Food Table

I wanted the dinosaur party to be green and khaki colored and to feel like the jungle.

The food table was set up underneath a hut with palm trees and big tropical leaves behind it, which was just the look I was going for.

It looked like it was straight out of Jurassic World!

Dinosaur Party Decorations

I made a large garland that hung above the table with my Cricut Explore Air 2 and some large tropical palm leaves.

I’m in love with how the banner turned out, especially with the cool dinosaur skull at the front!

The table with covered with burlap, tropical leaves, small logs, and large rocks.

All of these elements made the table feel natural, like it was set out in the middle of the jungle back when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Creative Dinosaur Food Ideas

At the center of the table towereda large hungry t-rex and hisdino dig treat stand.

He was perfectly willing to stand watch over the dinosaur cones that were filled with a tasty dinosaur snack mix.

I stacked the snacks on a big wood crate with dinosaur dig ribbonwrapped around it.

Love that orange pop of color!

At the base of the crate was our dinosaur cake.

I made a tasty homemade chocolate cakewith chocolatefrosting.

OREO “dirt” and some chocolate dinosaur fossils were added to the top to make it look a dinosaur dig site, except that it’s all edible!

You can catch the whole dinosaur dig cake recipe and tutorial here.

Bright red lava punch was guarded by these two carnivores, who decided to help themselves to some of the chocolate dinosaur bones I made.

Dinosaur fossil cookies were LOVED by the kiddos.

One little boy at the party told me he was going to eat every single cookie on that plate- and he practically did!

I started with store-bought sugar cookie dough, then baked the cookies.

Next, I pressed small plastic dinosaurs into the warm cookies to make dinosaur footprints.

A little cinnamon sprinkled on top makes them look a bit dirty, which is perfect for dinosaur fossil cookies!

Dinosaur Party Favors

Behind the dinosaur fossil cookies were a dinosaur nest.

You might recognize this as the DIY nest I for our beautiful gold leaf Easter eggs.

Inside the nest were some incredible dinosaur eggs I made with a surprise inside!

Each child was given a dinosaur egg to break open, and inside each egg was a toy dinosaur they got to keep.

The kids LOVED theseso much!

I also shared the cut file so that you can make your own.

I stacked another wood crate to match the other side, then added more tropical leaves.

A metal lantern on top looks like it could have been used by paleontologists, while two dinosaurs are on the prowl for more party food.

Each of the boys were given a pith hat so they looked official for the dinosaur dig hunt.

Dinosaur poop cookies might sound horrible, but trust me, they’re delicious!

Even these carnivores will break their meat-eating habits for a few chocolate no bake cookies.

These tasty cookies are made with cocoa, peanut butter, and a few more ingredients.

They are made from start to finish in about 10 minutes with NO BAKING!

Chocolate no bake cookies are one of my most popular posts.

They are definitely worth making!

Once the kids got their food, they went and sat at their dinosaur dining table that was covered in all things dinosaur.

Stand-up dinosaurs roamed down the center of the table, hungry for their next meal.

Dino dig platesandwhite plastic plates were layeredon top of dinosaur and tropical leaf place mats.

I used the same vinyl dinosaurs I made with my Cricut Explore Air 2 for the dinosaur egg treat bags and placed one on each cup.

Look how well they matched the dinosaur party theme!

I made some cute dinosaur dig kits for the kids for the big dino dig activity.

Dinosaur Party Activities

The main party activity was the DIY dinosaur dig I put together for the kids.

This was hands down their favorite part of the party!
