The Best Football Party Menu (2024)

I love to throw football parties. Along with game day decorations and jello shots, this football party menu helps to make it one of my most popular parties of the year.

I’ve been hosting an annual super bowl for many years. So many, in fact, that I think my friends would show up at my house even if I didn’t sent out invitations.

While many people come to watch the game (and the commercials), the food is definitely one of the most important parts of hosting a successful Super Bowl party.

Over the years, I’ve come up with some tried and true recipes that are easy to make and everyone loves.

To conserve oven space (which is usually full of chicken and ribs), many of these recipes are made in a Crock Pot.

Which also means they can be made ahead of time and are easy to serve on a buffet. (Yes, I own a lot of crock pots!)

Here are my favorite dishes for my Super Bowl party food menu.

1 | Crockpot Velveeta Rotel cheese dip

This crockpot Velveeta Rotel cheese dip recipe is a super easy appetizer that only requires 2 ingredients and everyone loves it.

Serve with all kinds of chips, bread chunks or veggies.

2 | Crock pot hot spinach artichoke dip

This easy hot spinach artichoke dip is cheesy, tasty, and made in the Crock Pot.

Like the cheese dip above, it goes well with chips, bread and veggies.

3 | Avocado guacamole dip

Another dip that makes a great football party appetizer is guacamole.

Make it the day before for the best flavor (and to save time on the day of the party).

4 | Easy three cheese ball

Serve with crackers or veggies.

Nachos are a great dish for sharing while watching the game.

To make these self-serve, I put all of the toppings, the meat, guacamole (see recipe above) and cheese dip (also above) out on a table with the nacho chips.

Then everyone can make their own nacho plates with whatever toppings they like.

7 | Football deviled eggs

Deviled eggs are always a popular party appetizer.

But for my Super Bowl party, I like to add green onion laces to make them look like a football.

8 | Shrimp co*cktail

Shrimp co*cktail is another popular appetizer.

However, rather than serving the shrimp in individual dishes, I put some ice cubes on a plate and pile the shrimp up on top.

Then put out the co*cktail sauce in a bowl that people can help themselves to.

9 | Crockpot turkey meatballs in tomato sauce

Crockpot meatballs are easy to make and this version made with ground turkey has a few less calories than the ground beef version without losing any flavor.

Serve them with game day toothpicks to add to the party ambiance.

10 | Sweet and sour meatballs

If you prefer a sweeter version, this sweet and sour meatballs recipe is another option.

Serve with toothpicks for easy eating.

11 | Baked buffalo wings

Buffalo wings are a staple of football parties.

This recipe is baked rather than fried and doesn’t use any flour, so they’re super easy to make but still taste great.

12 | Baked sticky chinese chicken wings

Made with soy sauce, brown sugar and garlic, this baked sticky Chinese chicken wings recipe is the easiest one you can find.

And it’s absolutely delicious!

13 | Oyster sauce baked chicken wings

These baked honey glazed chicken wings are so easy to make (no marinating required!) and they’re perfect for a football party since they aren’t too messy.

So they’re great for eating while sitting on the couch watching the game.

14 | Marinated spicy chicken wings

Made with fish sauce and spices, these marinated spicy chicken wings are packed full of flavor and can be baked in the oven or cooked on the grill.

15 | Oven Baked Breaded Drumsticks

I make these baked chicken drumsticks instead of fried chicken.

They taste just as good and don’t require the mess of frying.

16 | Fall-off-the-bone ribs and BBQ sauce

This recipe for fall-off-the-bone ribs and BBQ sauce has been a hit at my annual Super Bowl party for years.

Even better? It’s super easy to make!

17 | Crock Pot no bean chili

Around here, everyone loves to eat this no bean chili on hot dogs.

But it tastes really good on its own, too.

18 | Shrimp, chicken and sausage jambalaya

While jambalaya isn’t traditional game food in most places, it really is a good football party recipe.

It is easy to serve for a crowd and tastes great with beer.

19 | Crock Pot macaroni and cheese

This slow cooker macaroni and cheese recipe is made with real cheddar cheese (and no evaporated milk) which results in a creamy and cheesy side dish that everyone loves.

And because it’s made in a slow cooker, it’s perfect for a football party buffet.

20 | Lemon garlic grilled asparagus

If you’re looking for a healthy side dish that can be made on the grill or in the oven, this lemon asparagus may be just what you’re looking for.

It’s super tasty, too!

21 | Garlic bread

This is a really easy recipe for making garlic breadsince it doesn’t involve actually making the bread.

You can put it together ahead of time and then bake it just before serving.

22 | Caesar Salad

To make it really easy, I don’t make my Caesar salad from scratch.

I buy a couple of the Caesar salad kits from the grocery store.

That way I can get one of my friends to throw it together while I’m busy getting the rest of the food out on the buffet.

23 | Football brownies (without a cookie cutter)

These football brownies are made with a box mix so they are super easy to make and don’t require a cookie cutter to get their shape.

24 | Mini cherry cheesecakes

While these mini cherry cheesecakes aren’t specifically football related, they are super easy to make and serve.

And there’s never any left at the end of the night!

25 | Chocolate cupcakes

Chocolate cupcakes are another dessert that are not football specific, but are easy to serve and everyone loves.

I like to make them in cupcake liners that match the colors of whatever teams are playing.

26 | Football Party Drinks

Since beer is the main alcoholic beverage people drink at my Super Bowl parties, I only have one other go-to party drink and that’s Jello shots.

Why?

Because you can make them the day before and they come in pretty much any color. So I always make the jello shots to match the colors of whatever teams are playing.
